In light of the shortcomings of the currently used green card system, a new platform must be devised. One such is a dual pathway system that enables for skilled immigrants to undergo a merit-based evaluation for their green cards while asylees/refugees have a separate path. This division of the green card system allows for bipartisan support for a bill that only benefits the greater good.
