Concentrated in Libya we forget that another civil war is gestating in Syria. After more than 100 deads in the last protests tension is growing up. Despite all of the technological, medical and scientific advancements made by mankind over the past millennium, we are now seeing a rise in those who seek to unravel these creations of human achievement. Whether it be those who worry more about obesity than famine, those who worry about mandating lower energy usage when many still have no access to housing and running water or those who perpetuate fear over life saving vaccines, this is a human devolution. I think we as a species should embrace what we've accomplished and encourage innovation, not stifle it.
Recently, German publication Der Spiegel published photos taken by US soldiers with their "trophies" - corpses of Afghan civilians murdered by "kill teams" who hunted humans for sport. It's this kind of behavior by the US around the world that fills me with contempt for the "cruise-missile Liberals" who cheer US attacks on Libya while Saudi and Bahraini soldiers murder protesters with arms provided by the US. Never mind the talk about freedom for Libya; remember that imperialists will always do only what's best for imperialists.
