Woman, Life, Freedom: loose hair no longer a death sentence
Iran's National Security Council has disallowed the law obliging women to cover their hair with the hijab. This is no small step, nor is it an aesthetic detail. It is a response to popular pressure from women and allied men against policies that dehumanize women.
