Let Them Eat Two Dolls

I actually don’t mind the idea of kids having fewer toys. We are such a consumer society that not constantly consuming is seen as deviating from the norm. That being said, I find it rich that a billionaire is telling poor and working-class people that kids will have to do with less due to the absolute buffoonery and ignorance of their nonsensical tariff policies. They have no idea how hard it is for middle and lower-class people to buy little pleasures in life, like a doll, while paying for the basic necessities of life. We are currently experiencing massive inflation in the basic necessities of life, and the one thing that neoliberal policies that benefited the people was the ability to buy cheap consumer goods. Now we can’t even have that, and the rich still pad their pockets.
