Kill Them All

Best case scenario, this regime’s attacks on nearly 100 fishermen in South America were murder. At worst, and I believe this is the truth, they commented war crimes. These attacks are not only violent acts. They are an assault on the rule of law, on human rights, and on international law, which we wrote. When the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, says “Kill them all!” this is the vicious idea he is supporting.

The only silver lining is that the media is finally paying attention to one of the many war crimes the country has committed. Throughout my entire life, the United States has committed war crime after war crime, and mainstream media defended it the whole time. Now they are finally holding the Trump regime accountable, as they should, since Trump shows them no decorum or civility. My greatest fear is that once this bloated, Alzheimer’s stricken president leaves office, the news will return to being nothing more than stenographers for the government. For now, I will take the progress while it lasts. Let us hope this kind of journalism continues.

Lastly, the United States has attacked more than 20 boats and killed close to 100 people. Even if these people were the world’s most notorious drug traffickers, extrajudicial killing is not the way a nation committed to justice should behave. And before you say otherwise, ask yourself what you would think if this happened to U.S. citizens off the almost 100,000 miles of coastlines.

P.S. When I came to post this, I saw that fellow artist Steve Greenberg had a similar idea. No ideas were poached, simply great minds think alike. Great work, Steve.
