Breath Before You Babble

Our boy is at it again. Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, sent more war plans using Signal, a messaging app that automatically deletes messages after a while. But this time, he accidentally sent top-secret plans about the war in Yemen to his wife and brother—just casually chatting about highly sensitive information! This isn’t normal, and even worse, it’s illegal.

If you care about government transparency and value the work journalists do through the Freedom of Information Act, you should be angry. Leaders like this legally have to leave a clear record of their decisions so they can be held responsible later.

Then again, this is the 472nd illegal thing this regime has done just this week—so who even cares anymore? And that’s not even mentioning how badly Hegseth is doing at his actual job as Secretary of Defense. His poor leadership just lead to him loosing four top staff members in a single day.
