Tax-Funded Corruption

Since taking office, Trump has used his power to enrich himself over and over again. He has faced absolutely no accountability, so why wouldn’t he continue to act as if his actions have no consequences? So when Trump sued his own IRS for $10,000,000,000 through his Department of Justice, his IRS decided to settle rather than fight what many see as an obvious scam, agreeing to pay $1,800,000,000. Where does the money for this settlement come from? The American taxpayer.

He has now created a slush fund for himself, his family, his allies, and January 6 insurrectionists. If that wasn’t bad enough, the settlement includes a blanket pardon for any past or present tax crimes. This would mean he never has to pay taxes again. We don’t have a president, we have a mafia boss, a king, a tyrant.

Note: Why is this so important to pay attention to, aside from the fact that it is grossly unethical and appears to be an obvious scam? Because if he can use taxpayer money to reward January 6 insurrectionists who tried to overturn an election on his behalf, then he is sending a clear message that if a similar effort is attempted in the future, those involved can expect to be rewarded for it.
