SUMMARY
Jerry Mitchell a department head, the navigator aboard USS Seawolf. Now on a mission in the Barents Sea, north of Russia, Seawolf explores the sea floor, part of a sophisticated reconnaissance plan that will watch the Russian navy as it trains for battle. Although well outside Russia's territorial waters, Seawolf is discovered by Russia's newest submarine, Severodvinsk. Although it doesn't fire any weapons, its aggressive new captain, Alexi Petrov, is determined to punish the American sub. He harasses the intruder with dangerously fast, insanely close passes by the American boat. Finally, the two subs collide, with the Russian boat crippled and trapped on the bottom. Only Seawolf knows where she is, and the rest of the Russian fleet is too angry to listen. Mitchell and his shipmates have to keep their own damaged boat afloat, figure out a way to make the Russians listen, and keep the trapped Russian submariners alive until they can be saved - if that is even possible.
About the Authors: 
Larry Bond is the New York Times Best Selling author of 19 books. He served six years in the U.S. Navy before becoming a naval analyst for several defense consulting firms. He currently lives in Springfield, VA. 
Co-author Christopher Carlson is a retired Navy Reserve Captain and Department of Defense naval systems engineer. He began his navy career as a submariner, and transitioned to the naval technical intelligence field in both the reserves and in his civilian job with the Defense Intelligence Agency. He has co-authored several published works with Larry Bond including four full-length novels: Dangerous Ground, Cold Choices, Exit Plan, and Shattered Trident.
