Like many countries, Syria is constrained by the mentality of extremists. This mindset does not build nations; rather, it keeps them trapped in poverty, ignorance, and backwardness. Society is divided between a very small minority that exploits religious slogans for its own benefit and lives in luxury, and the overwhelming majority of people, who live in extreme poverty. Women suffer from oppression and violence. Day after day, the country sinks deeper into problems that become increasingly dangerous.
