Obviously candidate VETTING is MIA with Dems, but what’s really rich is the MAGApublicans clutching their pearls about Platner’s new sexual misconduct allegations with trump as their beloved leader. Should Platner leave the race….YES!! These charges should be the exception NOT the “look the other way” norm in USA politics.

I love hearing opposing opinions...... a healthy debate is so important. I agree...sexual misconduct cannot be tolerated...but this latest accusation was from someone who is a Dem and agreed with his positions. If i could read tea leaves, I would say someone convinced her to put her name on the claims so Platner and the Maine party had time to replace him by the July 13 deadline. YOU KNOW the Collins campaign had a huge file ready to spill when Platner was the permanent candidate. Now the Dems will have a process of about 600 delegates to try and replace him. Instead of looking the other way with a flawed candidate I WISH THE DEMS WOULD GET STRONGER MESSAGING...... so any candidate can win on well thought out social-democracy policy. THEY MUST FIGURE OUT HOW TO STOP THIS "COMMUNIST" LABEL trump IS SPEWING!!!
While I usually agree with you, I feel if a convicted felon and abuser can be president, why can't Platner run as he is only accused. Not even charged to date. I do not condone any sexual misconduct, but these are accusations from people who only stand to profit from the Republican party. Sad to say, but nowadays, everyone has a price to be bought. Just saying, can't play by the rules when the other team has redacted every single one from the playbook.
