Peace is becoming increasingly secure

It's no secret that Trump is eager to go down in history as the fifth American president to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. But historian Theo Zenou believes there's a greater force driving the president's efforts during his second term in the White House: his "desire to be universally acclaimed as a great leader."

"He knows there's nothing nobler than being considered a peacemaker, but he doesn't want to do the hard work of actually being a peacemaker, which involves overseeing lengthy reconciliation processes between warring nations."
