The face of Today's Britain

The war in Gaza has sharply increased tensions inside the United Kingdom, and there has been a documented rise in antisemitic incidents directed at Jews, alongside increases in anti-Muslim hatred as well. British Jewish organizations and security agencies have repeatedly warned that anger over Gaza is sometimes being redirected toward ordinary Jewish citizens who have no direct role in the conflict.

At the same time, critics of the UK government argue that authorities have often appeared hesitant, inconsistent, or overly cautious in dealing with extremist rhetoric and intimidation linked to some protests and reprisals. Others counter that the government has in fact increased policing, raised the terrorism threat level, and publicly condemned antisemitism.
