The End is Nigh!

The end is nigh! The rapture is coming! At least, that’s what evangelical Christians are shooting right now. In fact, the rapture is suppose to happen any time today! While it’s easy to laugh at doomsday warnings and the people that believe them, it’s not funny when those same beliefs are used to excuse genocide. Evangelicals don’t defend Israel’s evil genocidal actions because they think it’s innocent, they defend Israel’s evil genocidal actions because they believe the bloodshed in Gaza is a step toward the end times. Every bomb, every displaced family, every murdered child becomes, in their eyes, a prophecy fulfilled, a sign that Jesus is almost here. This way of thinking is evil and cruel. They gleefully cheer on the eradication of the Palestinian people since their countdown clock for their fantasy apocalypse moves faster.
