Ayatollah's Circus Clown
In Iran’s political theater, the presidency is reduced to a carefully costumed role, loud in appearance and hollow in power. The president speaks, smiles, promises reform, and absorbs public anger, yet real authority remains firmly elsewhere. Decisions that shape lives, wars, and futures are not made at the ballot box but under the shadow of a single unelected figure who answers to no one.
The clown is not the man, it is the function. He exists to entertain the illusion of choice, to distract, to take the blows when policies fail, and to legitimize a system that never intended to share power. While the ringmaster stays invisible and untouchable, the performer remains exposed, replaceable, and ultimately disposable. This is how a total theocracy survives, by turning governance into spectacle and responsibility into farce.
