For the 2019 campaign, we partnered with Excision parlons-en ! to create 10 cartoons aiming at raising awareness on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and the risks before summer holidays among secondary students in France.
Every year in the summer, thousands of girls and teenagers with an immigrant background go back to their parents’ country of origin for the holidays. There, they may undergo FGM, as planned by their parents or against their will because of community pressure. 3 out of 10 girls whose parents come from countries where FGM is traditionally carried out are still at risk today in France.
