Despite child labor laws in China, child laborers continues to be a problem in China. These child laborers work in agriculture, domestics, trade and services, and manufacturing, even in the making of toys. Children in rural and poor areas are most vulnerable to going into child labor, and many become bonded laborers as impoverished families sell their children's labor to employers for desperately needed money.
As I send this edited cartoon to the News Room, the Occupy Wall Street camp in NYC is being destroyed. Tents, electronics, books and everything is being put in dumpsters and hauled away. There have been arrests. There are a lot of other reports I can't confirm at this time. We in Occupy Chicago are in solidarity with our NYC brothers and sisters. Stay strong.

Silvio Berlusconi aka “il Caimano-the Cayman” has resigned as Prime Minister. When he decided to walk down the Italian political field in 1994, he appears on Italian tv sets saying: “Italy is the country I love. Here I have my roots, my hopes, my horizons…” and half of the Italian voters belived to the “new Italian miracle”. Most of his supporters left him and now it seems very hard to find someone who voted him… do you want to bet?
After a decade of observing police thuggery against protests in Los Angeles, Seattle, and New York City along with the recent police attacks on unarmed protesters at Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Oakland, and comparing it against similar scenes I witnessed in video from Athens, Bahrain and Cairo, I can't help but conclude that Nonviolence™ is an ideological luxury affordable only to the cushy-living white middle-class activists of the United States.
