Hysteric media coverage makes it very hard for lawmakers to judge objectively.
This cartoon is very well suited to the Italian situation, in which the prime minister and the king of television! That's why the country is in disarray ....
Thank you for your comments! Very useful!
Jean, my suggestions: Lady Justice needs to lean even more (maybe with shoulder pulled down from the weight), pedestal needs to be wider to make "Justitia" read better, the handle of the scales needs to be thinner so as not to look like another sword, and making the cross-bar of the scales wider would allow you to make the two weights more exaggerated and further apart. And I agree the word "hype" might be better, or perhaps "hysteria" even better.
That would make the message clearer. I was also wondering about the composition. The first time I saw this cartoon, I had to look twice before I got it. Not a big issue, but for this type of cartoon, with a strong and clear message, I'd like the composition to be strong and clear too. Not that I have a perfect solution as to what composition would work better, just wondering what others think.
Perhaps it would be better to change attention into "HYPE"?
