One of the aims of editorial cartoon is to provoke the audience. Well, based on your reaction, I believe the work served it purpose. At least it's still within the bounds of ethics.
Emanuele is right. An editorial cartoon contains both fact and opinion.
Thanks for your comment Bozkurt. Rest assure, I gather a fair amount of information before drawing a cartoon. Erdogan invaded Syria, that's a fact, and he is bombing civilian, which is a fact as well. As for the rest, I stand on the side of the population, millions of people that live in between warlords and dictators. And that's also a fact.
I am well aware that there is no black and white reality, and that Turkish people have the right to be scared, but I'm hoping you won't be scared of the kids or the farmers, or any other common citizen that live in Rojava.
As for objectivity, it doesn't exist. I work on what I consider facts and I follow my ethics, asking people to think about a topic looking at my illustrations. I'm just hoping this conflict will be over soon.
What do you draw the border without understanding that the imperialist really tragic when a durum.türki the terrorists who carried out the intervention is cringing. Investigate objectively. Don't serve imperialism.
