With the average media consumer's attention span declining pretty quick, the protests in Syria and other countries in the Arab world don't quite catch the appropriate attention anymore.
love the contrast.
so sadly truenow humanity has low batteries :S
I just put colours and lights-and like most of us, i suspect, i can see only the mistakes and the stuff that doesn't work. So, double thanks for the kind words!
Yeah, that's about the size of it, man... but it's not so much the people themselves as the media who are to blame. They thought Libya would be a slam-dunk, but it's turning into a quagmire (duh) and the media -- at least the US media -- are getting bored with it. The Royal Wedding and the Obama Birth Certificate Shitshow sure aren't helping any; the Royal Wedding's getting more saturation here than in the UK, and they're falling all over each other covering Donald Trump's latest Tourette's outburst about Obama's Goddamned Birth Certificate. Even before the Royal Wedding and the Birth Certificate clownshit, US media were paying almost no attention at all to Yemen (probably because Obama's called in some airstrikes against "terrorists" there recently) and Bahrain (God forbid we find out about the US arms sales and the US Navy base there).
Along with its analysis being dead on the money, in a purely technical sense this cartoon -- like all of Derveniotis' work -- is made of awesome. Hell, I'm still digging the volcanic camels, man
