The Wall's Memory

Execution is one of the harshest tools used to suppress dissent and silence critical voices. It is a punishment that takes away the most fundamental human right: the right to life. This cartoon commemorates the victims who have been taken away by firing squads. Even when those in power succeed in physically eliminating people, the traces of the crime and the memory of the victims remain. This work expresses opposition to the death penalty and to the use of violence as a means of suppressing opponents, critics, and independent thinkers.
