Afghanistan’s Taliban government used live fire to disperse a protest in the western city of Herat over new restrictions on women.
Afghan women want fundamental human rights and autonomy.Specifically, they demand:Education: Reopening schools and universities for girls and women.Work: The right to earn a living and run businesses.Movement: Freedom to leave home without a male guardian.Voice: The right to speak in public and shape their country's future.Justice: International refusal to recognize the Taliban until women's rights are restored.
