Thanks all! @Matt, most definitely - I'm glad you picked up on it. However, religion is not the focal point of the commentary - it was to me, an effective way to frame the pro-democracy movements gaining momentum in the region.

That's also an undertone I picked up in this cartoon, and was wondering if anyone else noticed it.

Since the image doesn't specify Egypt in particular, I'm picking up a more subversive message about religion. Though maybe you didn't intend it that way.
