Jews think eating pig is unpure, do you eat pig? for a good muslim drinking is a sin ,do you drink vodka? women castration is a noble practice in certain african countries, will you go there to convince them of the oppossite? tell me about your sins. I believe your vision of it all is quite reductive and limitated to your Christian orthodoxe education. is all right, you're free to think the way you think , but not to avoid other peope's ways to think and live, as long as they dont attempt objectvely yours. Not in a democratic nation. is Russia a free nation?

Sin does not depend on the culture. He is always a sin. So evil. But it also means that it is not innate or natural. And this evil selected. But we should get rid of the evil that was good. Crimes need to prohibit. Then it will be less willing to commit. If less advertise sin, fewer people will want to try to sin. And vice versa. Homosexuality leads to the destruction of families, to the unborn child, the extinction of peoples. It is unnatural. Christ can give healing from sin, if you repent.

I understand perfectly, don't worry.
Well,it is complicated to discuss homofobia when talking in terms of good and evil, you consider homosexuality a "sin", and this is a term very related with our Christian culture and education. Observ the fact beneath cultural statements. You can consider homosexuality "abnormal" because the relationship between that couple is not entitled to reproduction, so even if homosexuality exists also in many animal species in a natural background, you can certainly admit that the sexual gonades are designed in gender for procreation. But if we think in strict biological terms, heterosexual marriage, for example, is unnatural too, since monogamy is biological incompatible with our nature, is a social construct applied to sustain a society based on a patriarchal family, so we could discuss about the artificiality of our system, based on strategies of social maintainance more than in respect for our own nature. The only reason why you accept one cliché and reject the other is an educational question. Very respectable indeed since you don't condition other people's lifes with your believes, and viceversa. I don't think heterosexual marriage will disappear or family schema will be destroyed just for allowing gay marriage. That's like assuming that we're all gays and will run to perform homosexual intercourses as soon as it will be legally accepted. Actually is th opposite I think. The more you forbid something the more you estimulate the will to demonstrate it. I can understand that you might be shocked or disoriented about a phenomenon that however has always been there, even if prosecuted and emarginated, but i don't understand why you feel so threatened by it. if you are orthodox I don't think your faith is going to be damaged for the fact that your neighbour is muslim or jewish, you know what I mean. I can see you dislike gays just the way you draw them, demonizing their expression, depicting them as barbarian, ugly, evil and dirty people. isn't this unreal? how many gays you know? why is it that they're always angry in your cartoons?gays like heterosexual are persons, you might find scandalous and dirty gays as scandalous and dirty heterosexuals, and dislike them for those charachteristics, not for their sexual orientation. There's something beyond ethical believes that must be annoying you about the subject. But we are all free to think the way we feel, product of our education and culture. The effort to respect anyway should be mutual. if the gay community is disrispecting you you have the right to defense yourself, but is this really happening?disrispect come from individuals though, not from communities. Of course that's my single opinion.

Hi, Miguel!
Making the law of sin , in my opinion , is detrimental to human society. This is a great olasnost . It is a great misfortune . This is crazy. Sins do not lead to good. Justification of sin and crime leads to death . Having propensity to this sin to help get rid of it . Not encourage the sinner to sin. We must help him to repent of sin and renounce it .
Many artists paint cartoons in defense of this sin , draw slander against my country . It makes me sad too. But we are not here to talk via text and using cartoons .
English I do not know good writing via electronic translator , forgive , if not understandable.

Manos is completely right. Some years ago I did a cartoon named "Let us stereotype in peace", because the stereotype must be fought through its free representation, in this way it evidences its non-sense to the critic eyes of the watcher. it caricturises itself and ends up by loosing visual strenght, it selfdestroys. censoring or eliminating images for its political uncorrectness just give those images more power and sacrality. In this sense, I applause and support the position of Tjeerd Royaards for not censoring this autor, and maybe Igor, beyond political correctness, (wich I often disrespect in my own cartoons for the sake of the idea), can discuss peacefully with us, colleagues, why is it that he feels so ashamed or threatened or disgusted about gays, and specially, what gives us the permission to feel ashamed or disgusted about someone elses choices as long as they don't represent a phisical or moral threaten to other people's choices. What principle of your freedom is gays marriage violating in your life dear Igor?

Cartoons is struggling with various harmful events in the world, this is its purpose, but the simple humor. Now situation is clearly a threat by those who impose the world new ideas about new marriages, contrary to normal society, and is a sin from the point of view of all religions. So against this phenomenon should be cartoons. It is a pity that very few of them in Europe. Although many people in France are opposed. Like many people in the United States and around the world. Of course, the glory of God, that such "marriage" is not possible here in Russia. In general, cartoons should not need to explain and comment. They should speak for themselves. And I hope what they say. :-)

and it is exactly in this way that his drawings sabotage his own intentions, and act by themselves making of the known world a caricature.

21 Jun 2013

to make it short, in these drawings, i love to hate him.
his stereo view is a harsh reminder of what lies out of Cartoon Movement... the harsh world... where we "alternative viewers" are the minority...

21 Jun 2013

If it wouldnt be "offending" it would be like and "blank bullet", and on that front he does well..., I don't think this is the problem... Igor's difference is that while all the rest of us, use cartoons to criticise a stereotype (or a common place) to promote the right of life of the new-fragile-weak-alternative ecc... Igor does it the other way around (hence he is the new-fragile-weak-alternative amongst us) he attacks the "weak" to promote what allready is the rule (!)... there have been such examples in the past... with the most known amongst them, anti-jewish stereotype 40's comic books and propaganda illustrations... to say one historic fact... (without wanting to correleate in no way Igor with nazism). The problem is that the word "propaganda" itself means "propagation of info of those who allready control totally the information available"...

AliCologne, thank you for your personal opinion! :-)

Look at his own comment and you will find the answer..

It is a shame for the laws that allow such "marriages". I am ashamed to be afraid of a different opinion, the opinions of normal people. I am ashamed to defend distortions that lead to the extinction of the population of Europe. That's a shame.

As CM editor, I have to admit I am struggling with this cartoon. Our platform is aimed at presenting multiple perspectives and promotes freedom of expression, but I also find this cartoon homophobic and offending. The question is: is it offending enough to warrant censorship?

19 Jun 2013

This is very homophobic graphic! I feel ashamed such a graphic find it's way to cartoonmovement.
